An entry at 2010 Swansea Metropolitan University Degree Show in automotive design, the “VW Solar Powered Supercar” by designer Peter Wilkins is a car concept that demonstrates the aesthetic aspect of eco-friendly vehicles to attract more people toward sustainable commuting. Based on emotion-driven lines of the Volkswagen brand, the supercar integrates photovoltaic cells in its body to harnesses solar energy that powers a mid-mounted hydrogen fuel cell stack for a clean and green drive. The solar powered supercar other than raising the environmental concerns also allows a magnificent experience to passengers.
