Trident Sailboat Gains Efficiency With Aerodynamic And Hydrodynamic Differential

Sailboats have been a means of transportation for centuries now, but the latest innovations in boating have made them more light in weight and brisk in speed, allowing a green means of commutation for eco lovers. Conceived by Brazilian designer Thiago Porto, the “Trident” is a sailboat with an aerodynamic and hydrodynamic differential aiming to maximize performance by making use of wind energy. Offering a sustainable sail, the sailboat works, rather moves the same way as a Hydroptere and utilizes the wind surf to increase the efficiency as well as speed in a short stretch. Featuring a candle made of an aircraft wing, the Trident makes better use of the wind and reduces friction with water.
