Christened as Toyota MTR, wherein MTR stands for Motor Triathlon, this racer was made as one of the stars of the Gran Turismo 4 video game.


Designed to attract the sports car lovers of the future, theToyota Motor Triathlon Race Car is the fruit of Toyotas key strengths that include a long motor sport history and the pursuit of high tech solutions.Featuring extremely elegant and sporty design cues, MTR boasts advanced driving dynamics that come in the form of Toyotas fuel cell stack for zero emission and4 in-wheel electric motors.

All the four electric motors are controlled via drive by wire technology and use of one electric motor for each wheel not only allows instant distribution of torque than any other normal system but also gives an unparalleled4-wheel drive control. On the other, there is height adjustment suspension and tires that adapt to road conditions add more to the driving experience indifferent conditions.

Also, supporting the driver is the Mixed Reality system. It allows driver to visualize information in the helmet, in a similar fashion asin head up display (HUD). The info is generally about road conditions,temperature, presence of snow, tire condition etc. which makes the system work almost as a co-driver.
