Triker Three-Wheeled Electric Vehicle by Marouane Bembli

Designed by Swedish designer Marouane Bembli, the “Triker” is a three-wheeled electric vehicle that is not only environmentally friendly and cheap to produce, but personal as well. It can be used for driving to work every day or to enjoy a relaxing drive on the weekends. The body is constructed as a single module mounted on a aluminum chassis to make it lightweight. This module can easily be replaced with another, if the driver prefers some other material or color. It has some relation to a motorbike at the rear end with the single wheel and power transmission.

MoBib - A library on wheels!

Designed by Jacobus Marx, the moBib is a library on wheels, which comes equipped with state-of-the-art features. The easy accessibility of the mobile library is courtesy of the donor vehicle’s large entrances. When compared with the current vehicles, the side entrance for the moBib is approximately 40 percent larger and the rear is 26 percent larger. There are steps for side and rear entrance, and you will find handrails on both the sides. The movable shelves are the core of the design. They not only increase the library’s capacity to hold books but also make it possible to serve more patrons at once. The shelf mechanism consists of a hinged arm, with a shelf attached to a revolving bracket sliding in the groove of the arm by means of a nylon wheel. A track on the floor, along with a peg on the shelf, guides the shelf into the right position and locks it in place with the aid of a latch on the other end of the shelf.

Futuristic Watercraft: Kite Boat by Monique Mindeis - Kite sailing never looked so stylish!

You’re the type of person who enjoys flying kites and sailing boats, the Kite Boat designed by Monique Mindeis at POLOUS DESIGN is your dream come true. The Powerkite Kite Boat offers the agility of kiting and the comfort of sailing for two persons. A folding seat in the back lets you take your friend along. Cruising up against the wind works very well for the Kite Boat. The driver can win height from the first hour comfortably, in contrast to kite surfing, where this process needs very much practice. Some define kitesailing as being pushed by a kite in some vessel allowing the kite forces being transferred through the body of the driver and another definition says that kitesailing means that some vessel itself is being pushed by the kite. The Kite Boat by Monique Mindeis enjoys ringmast technology to satisfy both definitions. No idea if it’s eco-friendly too like the Kite Sailing Kitano Yacht, but it’s a stylish design, good enough to turn more than a few heads.
Another Take Off For Jet Pack, This Time At £50,000!

Outside of movies and comic strips very rarely has jet pack worked, especially as something that could be considered mainstream. But New Zealand born Glenn Martin says his flying gear will make us all airborne at a price of £50,000 ($100,000). He put to test Martin Jet Pack at AirVenture and had it off the ground for 50 ft (distance), 6ft (height) and 45 seconds (time). The display was met by loud cheers of the crowd at Oshkosh. Technically, however, experts maintain that Martin Jetpack is more of a fan-powered lifter than a jet powered gizmo; quite like Trek Aerospace’s Springtail, Urban Aeronautics’ X-Hawk and even Moller International’s flying car prototype. Building prototypes since his university days, Martin hopes that Martin Jetpack would go commercial next year itself. As a matter of fact, if you are game (and loaded) Martin is taking orders right now.
