Futuristic Watercraft: Solar powered luxurious Sea Limousine for The World in Dubai

You’ve got to be living on Mars if you aren’t aware of the development of ‘The World’ in our existing world. Coming up in Dubai, it is a man-made archipelago of 300 islands constructed in the shape of a world map and located 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) off the coast. Since access to all these islands from the coast and also amongst themselves is only by water, Dennis Ingemansson has an ultra luxurious yet absolutely eco-friendly concept for such a marine transportation. Controlled by a satellite navigation system, this driverless sea limousine seems to be the best mode of conveyance over the blue channels. Powered by sun’s energy, it comes with solar cells integrated in the window skin. Moving forward with a hover craft, it doesn’t fail to deliver a new dimension of discrete sea limousine in terms of luxury yacht design.

LUXURY SUBMARINE

LUXURY SUBMARINE
If you have a limousine, a jet place and a yacht then the only next step for you is a personal submarine. This isn’t an idea to be scoffed at anymore, because the Phoenix 1000 is just that. It is a large affair with an interior area of more than 5000 square feet. The significant volume, coupled with very large acrylic view ports, and the potential for relatively large open spaces, results in a vehicle as luxurious as the finest of motor yachts. Although, I personally think a submarine is way cooler than any yacht can ever be, because yachts are so passe and very common. Also, the submarine gives you a chance to explore the depths of the ocean, the life that exists under the sea. Who knows, you might come across Spongebob or Ariel. On a more serious note, Phoenix is capable of making trans-Atlantic crossings at 16 knots yet can dive along the route and explore the continental margins of some of the most fascinating waters of the world. And if the surface of the water gets a bit too choppy, don’t worry because the submarine can submerge into a perfectly smooth and quiet environment. I guess this puts an end to sea sickness.

Futuristic Watercraft: Private Yacht designed by Norman Foster

Delving into the world of concepts is this 41-meter / 132 foot Signature Series Private Yacht designed by Norman Foster. She boasts of a unique contemporary shape that makes her alluring. Aptly described, “Lord Norman Foster’s work on luxury hotels and residences provided a fresh approach to achieving privacy, comfort and usage of space onboard a motor yacht.”
Much emphasis has been given to quality and quantity of space, outdoor terraces, light and views. Hence, the 40 “Signature Series” offers more deck space and interior comfort than any equivalent yacht of her size.
Future Transport Vehicles: Aqua submersible watercraft

With the traffic going crazy and everyone concentrating on the high skies, two University of Seoul student designers Sungchul Yang and Woonghee Han are planning on exploiting the other mode-water. Now I know boats have been around for centuries, but what these boys are trying to provide is a novel way of individual transport. The Aqua submersible watercraft is a one-person craft that is capable of skimming the waters as well as plunging deep beneath. Sporting a dolphin like shape, this design won the 2008 Silver Idea Design Award. The design theoretically is a consequence of apt study pertaining to buoyancy control, oxygen supply and driver protection from the unrelenting water pressure.
