The Airbia concept from designers Alexandros Tsolakis and Irene Shamma tackles the problems of commuting and transport from suburbs to urban centers and vice versa. Mostly, the roads between suburbs and urban centers are choked with traffic, so the designers solve the problem by getting off those roads in an environmentally friendly solution.

The trio of designers Leonie Lawniczak, Deniz Örs and Georg Milde have created a concept that would provide magnetic assistance for planes during take-offs. The MagLevAir will function much like the catapult on aircraft carriers; only, the system will use magnets to do the job.

Trying to boast personal air-borne transportation, the Reconnaissance Copter is a single seater flyer that utilizes two props on either side of the vehicle along with the rudders mounted on the wing section to maneuver itself. The copter aims mainly at becoming something of a daily transport option for the masses. The LA Design Challenge is all set to take us to the future, as the show is based on the theme: ‘The World of Motorsport in the year 2025′. Inspired by the great race (rather toughest race ever) of 1908, covering over 22,000 miles across three continents in six months, the Great Racer 2025 by Honda is one of the entries for the competition that promises to surpass all barriers and set new landmarks for the motorsports in the future. Featuring sonar or echolocation sensors, capable of sensing even minute changes in speed, terrain and altitude, for immediate switchover to any configuration, the Great Racer will not just run on earth and water but in the air as well. Falx Air’s coaxial UAV helicopter to be powered by a hybrid engine

In a bid to green aviation, Falx Air has unveiled the final design overview of its hybrid electric coaxial helicopter UAV. The UAV is intended to be powered by an advanced fast charging battery systems that are being developed in the U.S. Keeping the weight of the aircraft under control had to be a priority, which the company hopes to implement by developing the airframe from aerospace certified composite materials.
