The Vespa Piaggio 1+1 generation concept was created by designer Davide Panarella working together with Gino Finizio and Miguel Galluzzi (Ducati Monster’s designer). Created for the Domus Academy, the concept aims to study the shape a Vespa of the present may take, while retaining its features of the classic retro scooter.

The year 2020 isn’t all that far into the future, and while it doesn’t appear that automobiles then will sport radically different looks compared to how they look now, concepts like the Panarella PR5 are always refreshing for the sheer imagination. Designed by Davide Panarella, the futuristic concept is the urban car of 2020. The electric vehicle has two motors power the large rear wheels, and can go to a top speed of 95mph. The design of this 2-seat car is influenced by insects, their ability to adapt to a variety of locations, and more importantly, their protective cocoon like shape.
