NYK Super Eco Ship 2030 Is The Vessel Of The Future
With a reduced vessel weight and a minimal drag, supplementary deployment of fuel cells, solar panels and wind turbines, the concept NYK Super Eco Ship 2030 went on to bag the Japan Good Design Award 09 for its outstanding design and eco-credentials. The Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO) planned and organized these awards.
Some navigational improvements and reduced carbon-dioxide emissions by 69 percent makes it a futuristic vessel. The highly advanced concept ship with dimension reading 43 meters height, 54.6 meters breadth and a height of 24 meters to main deck touts the cargo capacity of 8000 TEU, fuel capacity of 2000 tons and the propulsion power of 44 000kw. Making the fullest possible use of renewable energy, the sealiner makes use of the combined fuel cell, mast with a sail area of 4000 sqm and solar cell (31-000sqm solar cell area).
