Mercury Version 2 – Futuristic Vehicle by Siddhartha Banerjee

If you just think of a futuristic vehicle that will wreck the road and break all speed records, here it is. Conceived by the Indian designer, Siddhartha Banerjee, this futuristic vehicle, Mercury Version 2 is capable of cruising at a speed of light on the ground. Featuring a body surrounded by a gigantic rim, giving it a spherical shape this vehicle is equipped with two boosters, wherein one is a nuclear generator that gives it endless acceleration and power, that are attached on both sides to boost acceleration. The rotation of the wheel is a simple ball bearing concept and in order to balance the vehicle, two legs are also attached to the body to keep it running and turning. It is capable of turning on its axis up to 360 degree at any time, making an excellent vehicle for the coming centuries. However, the concept remains too hypothetical for Two reasons: first, it’s impossible to have a speed of light and secondly, irrespective of material it is made of, the occupant/s wouldn’t survive long enough to get anywhere close to the speed of light.
