There will likely never be an invisible tank, not on land at least. When this ‘invisibility’ for tanks is developed to it’s useful stages your typical heat goggles will still see it a mile away. Beyond that, there are all kinds of other sensors that would detect such a thing traveling about. I bet the EMF field on a tank like that would be pretty massive as well.
Sure, the tank would probably be able to get fairly close to some civilians without much notice, but in an area of warfare this thing is about as useful as a picture of breasts used as a shield.
