GEVCO ECity Electric Car
Good news for the automaker’s, now they can sell exciting green cars under their names without having to do the dirty work. Global Electric Vehicles Ltd. (GEVCO) has collaborated with Mira Ltd., to unveil a new affordable electric city car concept that automakers can purchase and rebrand. Dubbed the “ECity”, this concept is made from lightweight, recyclable materials. The 916kgs 4-seater flaunts a composite body with good looks.
Powered by a 15 kWh battery , the GEVCO ECity concept reaches a top speed of 85 miles per hour and runs on the road for 70 miles. The electric car is being marketed as a “white label” vehicle, so rebranded versions could differ significantly from the concept’s present design. The company also plans to roll out a small electric delivery truck version, along with a larger series hybrid variant called the EMode.
Weighing some 3,331 pounds, the EMode reaches a top speed of 80 mph and offers 50 miles of electric range. These new that make use of high-tech energy systems will give automakers the opportunity to sell electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles at an affordable price in any country, while also allowing many manufacturers to market a battery-powered auto before the competition.
