The “Flying Stretcher” or the Med-Evacuation Aerial Vehicle as it is appropriately called, can be a life saver for people trapped in remote locations or for wounded soldiers on the battlefield. Originally developed by Israeli scientists as an unmanned rescue vehicle to save wounded soldiers in a warzone, the device has obvious civilian applications, where it could provide quick medical aid to accident victims in areas where ambulances and helicopters can’t have an easy access.
The machine will be controlled remotely from the ground, much like UAVs. It has the capacity to carry four patients and a medic, for first aid. To be operational in tough terrain, it is capable of vertical take-off and landing, and wheels on the vehicle can be used to cover rough terrain if there’s a need. A prototype was successfully tested last year, and a production unit is expected to arrive next year.

I guess it’d then just depend on if it can be safely operated and the time for them to get medical attention.
