The concept of airliner + cityloader Transport Efficiency 2020 offers the separation of long and short distance transportation freight traffic. Conceptualized by Aram Haydeyan, in collaboration with Stefan Brenn and Tobias Förtsch, the airliner + cityloader concept aims to fulfill the needs of these two types of transport. The airliner is an electric vehicle, with its electric engine, brakes, suspension and steering integrated in the rims. The vehicle uses a regenerative braking system. The metal air hybrid batteries can be charged via “plug and ride” at every trans-shipment center or city station. Depending on the size and amount of the freight carried, multiple modules can be used.
