Chrysler TR Ram Truck
In order to strengthen its league of powerful and niche cars, Chrysler, the renowned automobile manufacturer, will soon launch TR Ram Life Style Truck. The production of this power truck is rumored to start in Chrysler assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario by 2013. Chrysler is keen to set these vehicles rolling in the market as soon as possible, thus, will run the production process at its maximum in three shifts. Termed as spiritual successor to Dodge Dakota, this truck will give a tough time ahead to Honda’s Ridgelines.
The TR Ram Life Style Truck is a light-duty front-wheel-drive pickup truck based on redesigned minivan platform. It might not offer any significant hauling capabilities, but does offer stupendous fuel economy and performance. The Windsor plant, where the production of this vehicle will take place, is one of the largest minivan manufacturing facilities in the world. It has to its credit the Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country and Volkswagen Routan models. If the insiders of the industry are to be believed, then Chrysler plans on bringing annual production to about 15,000 to 20,000 units to give a head on competition to Honda.
However, no official announcement has come from Chrysler itself to testify these rumors that are buzzing the industry. LouAnn Gosselin, head of communications at Chrysler Canada, says…
As a matter of corporate policy, we don’t discuss future product.
