Dima Dadshev has designed a tramway that encourages social interaction among passengers and also those outside the tram. The tramcars have large windows each and the cars move in a zigzag fashion giving an opportunity to everyone to interact with one another. The tramcars also have elegant and sparse furnishings and balconies. Dubbed the Panotram, this electric tramway is a unique design that is not only technologically advanced but also environmentally and most importantly, socially friendly. The design is green since it uses electric energy and doesn’t pollute air. Dima definitely saw the lack of communication and sociability in today’s society when she designed the Panotram. This could very well be one of the best public transportation concepts ever designed.
Arizona is a good place to tap into solar power, and this proposal for a solar train that would travel from Tucson to Phoenix does exactly that. The concept is a high speed solar train, that would cover the distance in just 30 minutes, traveling at a maximum speed of 220mph, powered solely by the sun.

The transparent appearance is distinguished by a hexagonal basic structure. This allows lounge modules with a panoramic view as well as new approaches to compartments or economic, youth hostel style modules. The lounge module is in the front and rear part, and there are a number of different modules and rail car-setups possible. Featuring an elegant and simple exterior design, the modular train communicates with the surrounding architecture. While the wide doors enable barrier-free entrance, the multifunctional seat has been designed with ergonomics in mind. The multifunctional seats, stools and barrier-free compartments are optimized for business-travelers and elder persons.
Alstom, a renowned manufacturer of high-speed trains and Citadis trams, collaborating with Stockholm Local traffic department (SL) has come up with an innovative public transportation called the “Autonomous Tram” for the Stockholm city that not only solve the traffic problems, but also give an altogether new face to the Swedish capital. Brainchild of designer Patrik Petersson, the double-decker tram, featuring a Scandinavian design style (both exterior and interior), can carry about 170 passengers comfortably. Being spacious, the tram also presents a clean, open and user-friendly atmosphere to the commuters. Removing a number of seats from the ground floor, the Tram creates an extra space for wheelchairs, prams and luggage; while on the other hand, the top floor promises a thrilling ride, apart from the lovely view of the celebrated city. Moreover, the Autonomous Tram, reducing the number of on road vehicles, helps in improving the environment of the city.
