Co2 Electric Bicycle by Tang Ming-deng
Intended toward white-collar workers living in cities, the “Co2” by Taiwan-based designer Tang Ming-deng is an electric bicycle concept to allow safe and sustainable commutation in urban environments. Based in the natural process of photosynthesis, the new electric bicycle opens or spreads its leaf windows, exposing inside chloroplast to the sunlight, to accomplish the photosynthesis process to move the bike on sustainable energy. The conversion of chemical energy to kinetic energy is a brand new form to transmit the environmental consciousness. The bike concept not only cuts the fuel cost but also reduces the carbon emissions, making cities a better place to live.
Hydrokultur’s Nios Car
The winner of the ‘Autodesk Design Award’ for its outstanding design and ergonomics in the “Urban Concept Cars” category of the 2010 Shell Eco Marathon, Hydrokultur’s Nios concept is fully working prototype of a hydrogen-fueled city car. Biway – All-Electric Buses Combine To Form A Train (video)
An entry at Michelin Challenge Design 2010, the “Biway” by designers Aleshina Ekaterina and Kamyshev Vitaly is an all-electric public transportation, which makes commutation safer and greener in urban environments. The zero-emission public transportation is essentially an all-electric bus to run on city roads, which combines to form a train transport to move on a fiber freeway. The Biway revitalizes its onboard battery while moving on the fiber freeway. In addition, passengers can switch the buses without wasting any time and effort in finding one to their destination.
ZEBO – Futuristic Boat by Gorski
Futuristic a boat called ZEBO (Zero Emission Boat by German designer Gorski. The boat was motorized from fuel cell combination with a wave generator for an emission free ride.Featuring a recyclable Aluminum Monohull, the day-cruiser is not only eco-supportive but also touts excellent gliding properties while reducing the weight to a large extent. Capable of accommodating up to six persons comfortably in its central cabin, the sustainable boat (12 m long) is capable of reaching a top speed of 35 knots (65km/h) and can explore an action radius of 200 sea-miles (370 km).
