MCET Multipurpose Vehicle By Mohd Azam Abd Halim

Inspired by Malaysian woodpecker, designer Mohd Azam Abd Halim has come up with a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) that promises to provide a safe and comfortable commutation in the compact and cramped roads or streets of Malaysia. Dubbed “MCET” (Malaysian city eco-transit), the public transportation by the Malaysian designer generates power from 1000 cc electric engine, supported by lithium ion battery, allowing an environmentally friendly ride. Measuring 3463mm in length, 1855mm in height and 1566mm in width, the five door mini MPV only weights 865 kg and comes with a wheelbase of 2390mm.
Toyota Biomobile Mecha, Futuristic Concept Car of 2050, Powered by Pollution

We’re once again having a look at cars from the year 2050 and this time it’s a Toyota we’re dealing with. The Toyota Biomobile Mecha futuristic concept is powered by pollution, since its skin can absorb the harmful substances in the air and turn them into energy.

Sampdesign Neo: Electric Car By Mauricio Sampaio

The brainchild of Brazilian designer Maurício Sampaio, the “Sampdesign Neo” is an electric vehicle for urban use that offers a safe and sustainable ride on cramped city roads. Powered by three engines embedded in each wheel, the three-wheeler features an exterior surround by LED lighting, which makes it extremely safe during night rides. The zero-emission vehicle comes equipped with buffers that generate energy, smart rubber that totally isolates the cabin from the outer world and an air conditioner, which allows occupants to choose the internal temperature. The entire body, including the translucent, of the Neo uses biodegradable plastic that makes it environmentally friendly altogether.

Esthec Solar-Powered Luxury Ayacht By Dennis Ingemansson

Designer Dennis Ingemansson continues to impress us with his futuristic designs. A few months back we covered his Flying Apartment Systems, and now he has come up with an impressive yacht design that being apart offering a luxury retreat also promises an eco-friendly cruise. Designed for the Dutch company Esthec, the superyacht joining the massive green world movement generates power from solar energy. Slated to be exhibited at Monaco Yacht Show 2009, the superyacht utilizes sophisticated composite decking material, with complete design freedom in form, color and pattern. Touting a unique floor, the sustainable yacht integrates functional qualities, such as light weight, the ability to recycle it and low maintenance. The Esthec superyacht also includes a swimming pool at the rear deck, where you may relax in fresh water.
